The eve of 4 months

What a ride this has been. Tomorrow Fallon is 4 months old. It doesn't seem possible but everyday goes by so fast. This month has been filled with fun, sickness, new beginnings, and lots of new discoveries. Fallon is now easily grabbing things and holding on for dear life and everything that she grabs heads for her mouth. She is starting to get the hang of eating from a spoon but the reflex is still there to push stuff out of her mouth so it's an interesting journey of rice cereal on her and on me.

Fallon tried some yellow watermelon. We just let her gum and suck up the juice. She really seemed to enjoy the flavor after the first try. Here is a photo of her:

Today, we took a ride up the Cherohala Skyway. Fallon enjoyed a little bit of it but got tired really quickly. So we only went up a little ways and then decided to come home. It's been such a beautiful day and weekend this weekend. I really hate to see it get hotter this week.

July 4th, 2009 - Independance Day

We decided that even with my knee and Fallon and I being sick that we were going up to East Tennessee to spend the holiday with family. The trip up was very unbearable. My knee hurt so badly. We took a break at Bass Pro Shops and I got escorted in a wheel chair. It was much needed and Fallon really enjoyed the break with her aunt and uncle. We got up there Thursday night and got to see Billie, Ricky, and David's Parents. Fallon started giggling and talking to Billie. It was the cutest thing. She really liked her aunt. She got to spend some time with my mammaw and pappaw as well. We spend the holiday over at the lake with almost the entire family. Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Sarah were missing. They had work and distance restrictions on being able to be here. Fallon slept most of the day while Heather played around the lake house. We came home last night because of wanting to get stuff done around the house before David had to get back to work.

Fallon was having a hard time getting to sleep so we drove around a little bit as it was getting dark and ended up going through Bradley Counties Drive thru Fireworks show. They had their fireworks along Waterlevel Highway that heads up to Ocoee. It was the worst possible spot because there wasn't a lot of parking available, it was the only show in Cleveland, and it's a major thru-way for travelers. It was bumper to bumper traffic going through there with cars in the median, on the road, and everywhere else that was a hassle. The fireworks were cool and we got some pretty neat pictures of them with our new camera. By the end of it, Fallon was so exhausted that the sound of them didn't phase her.

We are glad to be home. I'm hurting today because my darling cat decided to land on top of my knee in the middle of the night. How sweet of him huh?! Fallon's doing well, she's a little grumpy but pretty tired today. We gave her a bath this afternoon to get the sunscreen off of her and now we are relaxing.
